Jade Plastics was founded in 1976 by Jack Holland, father of the current President Steve and Vice President Lee Holland.
Jack was a machinist, a mechanical engineer, and a pioneer in the plastics industry who recognized the potential of the new filled PTFE materials that were just coming onto the market in those post-WWII years.
Jack worked on developing profiles of the new materials, designed tools for their fabrication, improved production methods, pioneered improved auto-molding techniques and formed close alliances with the resin suppliers whose materials, like PTFE/Teflon, would go on to be household names.
