Other Fluoropolymers

We often utilize the extended range of fluoropolymers to satisfy a component's performance requirements. While these materials share many of PTFE's exceptional characteristics, they also present unique sets of properties–such as an unusually high resistance to solvents, acids and bases–that will often provide superior performance under specific operating conditions.

Some fluoropolymers are thermosets, polymer materials that cure through the addition of energy (heat or chemical) to a stronger form. Others are thermoplastics, materials that melt to a liquid state when heated, and freeze to a brittle state when cooled.

Jade produces a wide variety of parts using various fluoropolymer materials including PFA, FEP, PCTFE and others. (See a comparison of fluoropolymers and their general properties.)
